Improv is comedy with nothing written down. There is no script before the show and none after it. The cast asks the room for something to work with — a job somebody quit, a family tradition nobody can explain — and builds the whole night out of that one answer while you watch.
Come two Fridays running and you will see two completely different shows. Nothing is repeated, because nothing was written.
Nobody is pulled on stage. The only thing asked of you is a suggestion shouted from your seat, and only if you feel like it.

The cast comes out and asks the room a question. Somebody near you shouts an answer. That answer is now the show.
Fast games at first, then longer scenes, then a full improvised story with characters who did not exist ten minutes ago.
Sixty to eighty minutes, straight through, no interval. Early enough to get dinner after or get a sitter home at a decent hour.
Families with teenagers. Couples out for the evening. Groups of friends who wanted something other than a movie. It is clean by design, so nobody has to explain anything on the drive home, and nobody feels out of place for bringing their mother.
